Google Vs Microsoft: Tough Competition


Time has not remained same and a technology change rapidly; few years before Microsoft Company were leading the Operating System (OS) and were covering almost computer OS market. However, it could not maintain its standard long time and Google Search Engines became No. 1 Search engine with more than 75 percent search engine market share. There is tough competition between two companies and making their aggressive marketing strategy. Both companies have been focusing their strategies to improve their existing services and innovating new product with new features.  Microsoft has not able to compete with Google and crippling slowly. Surprisingly, there is no chance of rivalry between two companies. Because of Google is primarily leading with Search Engine and Microsoft is leading for Operating System (OS). Both companies are working on different sectors but both are rivals.  

In these days, Google and Microsoft have been producing and taking market places as similar products and services. The main revenue source of Microsoft is Widows and it has been upgrading its services with new features and focusing for new product development. On the other hand Google also has been improving its services and targeting its eyes towards new products and making plans to become a king of virtual world. Recently, Google has launched its new product to access the internet services on remote areas and upgrading its community services Google + with gorgeous features. Google has also improved its Google Play, Google Map and Google Doc. Services. Google has been increasing its market toward physical product Google Glass. Google has popular services like Google Search, Gmail ( up to 15 GB Free Spaces), YouTube (Free videos channels), Blogger (Create Free blog with unlimited hosting and custom domain settlement ), Google Chrome (Google Browser and online Store), Google Play (Get everything on Google Play), Google Drives, Google Document, Google + (Social community) and many more. Microsoft also has been serving Bing Search Engines, Windows, Skype, Xbox, Microsoft Office, Internet Explore (IE), email services (Outlook) etc.

This is fact that people are being habitual to search anything on Google and Google also has been improving its Search Engines services greatly. Other sides, Microsoft’s search Engine Bing hardly competing with Google. According to BBC and CNN, Google has been covering its 78 percent search engine market in US and Canada. However, Bing is also upgrading its market sharing and defending challenging, as a result it has been taking places 20 percent market share of Search Engine. Bing has been making its Home Pages attractive and useful. Microsoft has started its Search Engine as Bing in 2009 and made its features like Google. Therefore, both companies are competing and advancing their services to attract more users.

Email Services (Gmail and Outlook) – Google Vs Microsoft
Both (Google and Microsoft) companies have been providing free email services with data storage. Google’s has been providing email services on Gmail including 15 GB Data Storage spaces and Microsoft’s email services on Outlook has been serving with unlimited data storage spaces. There is tough competition between two companies and attracting their email users. Both companies have been investing billions of Dollars for cloud services. Google has been providing its cloud services as Google Drive (15 GB Free Data Storage – Gmail users can sign in automatically to get this services) and Microsoft has been providing its cloud services as Sky Drive (7 GB free Storage Space).   

Office Docs – Google Vs Microsoft
Google has been competing with Microsoft office. It has web base docs services and Gmail users can easily save their document, share on social media and attach on email. Share document can be edit by recipient and sender at the similar time. Google Docs providing similar features of Microsoft Office, such as Word processor Spreadsheet Application, Slideshow Presentation make forms and Drawing tools. All these tools are well alternative of Microsoft Office. While, Microsoft has also developed new office program for mobile and online version.

Mobile Operating System (OS) – Google Vs Microsoft
Google and Microsoft have been competing for mobile operating system (Os). Google’s open source Android has been competing with Microsoft’s operating System (OS) Windows. Microsoft is leading on Computer OS but Android is also taking most of the mobile market places. Most of the mobile companies have been using android OS to their Smartphone due to the open sources and any one companies easily use this services at free of cost. Such as, few years before Nokia was leading the mobile market however, in these days it could not maintain it market and also has been using Widows software for its new Smartphone like Nokia Lumia 900, Lumia 920, Lumia 1020 etc. worlds largest and fastest Smartphone selling Company, Samsung has been using Android OS for its all Smartphone. According to Wikipedia, 156 million Android OS used Smartphone sold out within the first quarter of 2013. At the same time, only 6 million Windows phone sold out.       
    
Google Talk and Skype - Google Vs Microsoft:
There is tough competition between Google and Microsoft for their services like Google Talk and Skype. Both companies have been providing free voice and video call services. Both companies are struggling to provides their services at cheaper prices and attract the more users. Google Talk and Skype are working as best alternative of mobile and land-line phone.

Google Chrome and Internet Explore (IE) – Google Vs Microsoft
Google has been aggressively taking its market places of its internet browser – Google Chrome. Although, some year before, Microsoft’s internet browser – Internet Explore (IE) is being dropping down, due to the advanced features of Google Chrome. According to Wikipedia, Google Chrome users are 29 percents and IE users are 22.55 percents. It clearly exposed that Google Chrome is being the favorite browser of internet lovers.

Google and Microsoft has been competing to grow their revenue, on the other hand, its services users can get the opportunity to use advanced services if there is tough competition between two companies. If these two companies compete to upgrade their services and add new features then their users can choose best one. In these times, both companies are on the battlefield and making their market strategy strongly.
